Polonaise from Christmas Eve was arranged for the Brass of the Netherlands Philharmonic. (Nedpho Brass)
Christmas Eve, is an opera in four acts with music and libretto by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
Rimsky-Korsakov compiled a suite of pieces from the opera a few years later. The opera itself features supernatural elements that seem better suited to Halloween than Christmas.
In the 3rd act, a chorus sings the tsaritsa’s praises in a magnificent polonaise.
