Rapsalon Fanfare is a composition dedicated and written for the Central Station of Rotterdam.
At the opening of the new Central Station in Rotterdam, this Fanfare was played for Willem Alexander, King of the Netherlands.
The word Rapsalon is a composition of Rotterdam and Kapsalon.
Kapsalon was the nickname of the new station because of its specific architecture. It has the form of a typical and popular Dutch Food item.
It starts with a typical railway announcement and tune.
