Bello Gallico was commissioned by Tim Van Medegael and the “Belgisch Trombone Koor”.
Bello Gallico refers to the ancient name of Belgium, also the native land of composer Steven Verhelst.
In 4 individual movements, the trombone family comes to the foreground.
1. Fanfare : Opening fanfare full of bravoure.
2. Song : Peaceful Trombone solo (Alto or Tenor)
3. Dance : Swinging Bass Trombone solo (or Contra)
4. Finale : Broadway feature.
