Description
Pulcinella Suite 2.0 is a written for Brass United Quintet.
Steven Verhelst has returned for this suite to the musical sources of Stravinsky’s Pulcinella. Transcriptions of ten pieces from the original music have been arranged for brass quintet. For the twenty-one movements of his ballet, Stravinsky brought together pieces from the Baroque and classical periods by the 18th century Italians Domenico Gallo, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi and Carlo Ignazio Monza, Willem van Wassenaer and the 19th century Alessandro Parisotti.
