Description
Tenorio’s Tales was composed for Euphonium Virtuose Glenn Van Looy.
Tenorio’s Tales tells the story of womanizer Juan Tenorio, better known as Don Juan. Low notes in the opening music describe Tenorio’s entrance at the scene and his brilliant, suspicious mind. Slowly the music changes to higher atmospheres and the passionate character is heard in the lovely sound of the soloist. When Tenorio starts his hunt for love, this is portrayed in the vivid, repeating rythms in the percussion. At the the end of the piece you can hear Tenorio being captured and brought to justice.
